Scott Pilgrim meets the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers, only to find out her seven evil exes stand in the way of their love.
The series follows Scott Pilgrim, a 23-year-old musician in the fictional city of Toronto, Ontario. When he meets the mysterious Ramona Flowers, he falls in love with her and begins dating her. However, Scott soon learns that in order to be with Ramona, he must defeat her seven evil exes.
The series is directed by Abel Góngora and written by BenDavid Grabinski. The entire main cast from the 2010 film, including Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Chris Evans, reprise their roles for the series.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off has been praised for its animation, faithfulness to the source material, and humor. It has been compared to the anime series FLCL and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
