“Expend4bles” is a 2023 American action film and the fourth installment in The Expendables film series. The film is directed by Scott Waugh and stars an ensemble cast including Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture, with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy GarcÃa joining the cast.
The plot revolves around the Expendables, a team of elite mercenaries, who are sent to prevent a mercenary from stealing nuclear warheads for a mysterious terrorist. The film was released in China on September 15, 2023, and in the United States a week later.
However, the film received largely negative reviews from critics, with criticism for its plot, action sequences, Stallone’s limited screen time, Waugh’s direction, absence of most of the original cast and visual effects. It has grossed $51 million worldwide against a budget of $100 million. The IMDb rating for the film is 4.8/10.
