“Turning Red” is an American animated fantasy comedy film from 2022. It was produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film was directed by Domee Shi in her feature directorial debut and produced by Lindsey Collins.
The screenplay was written by Shi and Julia Cho, and the story was developed by Shi, Cho, and Sarah Streicher.
The film tells the story of a thirteen-year-old girl named Mei Lee who is torn between being her mother’s dutiful daughter and the changes of adolescence. Whenever she gets overly excited, she transforms into a giant red panda. The voice cast includes Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, Ava Morse, Hyein Park, and others.
