Citizen of a Kind is a 2024 South Korean crime drama film directed by Park Young-ju, starring Ra Mi-ran, Gong Myung, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Byung-eun, Jang Yoon-ju, Lee Moo-saeng and Ahn Eun-jin.
The film follows Deok-hee (Ra Mi-ran), a laundromat owner who becomes the victim of a voice phishing scam, losing tens of thousands of dollars. With the help of a co-worker Bong-rim (Yeom Hye-ran) and the secret informant Jae-min (Gong Myung), who was part of the phishing organization, Deok-hee sets out to track down the head of the criminal group behind the scam.
The film was released theatrically on January 24, 2024 and has received generally positive reviews, with praise for the performances and the film's portrayal of an ordinary citizen taking on a powerful criminal organization.
