The Garfield Movie is a 2024 animated adventure comedy film based on the Garfield comic strip created by Jim Davis.
Directed by Mark Dindal, the film stars Chris Pratt as the voice of Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat.
In the film, Garfield is unexpectedly reunited with his long-lost father, a scruffy street cat named Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson). Garfield and his canine friend Odie are then forced to join Vic on a hilarious, high-stakes heist, departing from their perfectly pampered lives.
The film was produced by Alcon Entertainment and animated by DNEG Animation, with a screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan, Mark Torgove, and David Reynolds. It was distributed globally by Sony Pictures Releasing, except in China.
While the film received generally negative reviews from critics, it was a commercial success.
