Wild Things 2 (2004) is an erotic thriller film directed by Jack Perez and serves as a sequel to the 1998 film Wild Things. The movie stars Susan Ward, Leila Arcieri, Isaiah Washington, and Linden Ashby. It premiered on March 6, 2004, on Encore Mystery and was later released on DVD on April 20 of the same year.
The plot centers around Brittney Havers, a high school senior living with her wealthy stepfather, Niles Dunlap, in South Florida. Brittney's life takes a dark turn when her stepfather dies in a private plane crash. His will stipulates that she will receive a small stipend until she finishes college, after which she will only inherit $25,000 annually unless a blood heir can be found. This leads to the introduction of Maya King, a brash classmate who claims to be Dunlap's illegitimate daughter from an extramarital affair. A judge orders Maya to undergo a DNA test, which confirms her claim.
As the story unfolds, Brittney learns that the entire situation has been orchestrated. When Maya is killed in a confrontation with Brittney and another character named Bridge—who demands half of Dunlap's fortune—Brittney finds herself embroiled in a web of deceit and murder. After disposing of Maya's body and framing Bridge for the crime, Brittney ultimately reveals her cunning nature by orchestrating her stepfather's fake death to escape financial ruin.
The film is characterized by its twists and turns typical of the thriller genre, with themes of greed, betrayal, and survival. Although Wild Things 2 did not achieve the same level of acclaim as its predecessor, it has garnered attention for its provocative content and plot twists. The film further explores the dynamics of wealth and manipulation while maintaining an erotic undertone throughout its narrative.
