Annabelle: Creation (2017) is an American supernatural horror film directed by David F. Sandberg and written by Gary Dauberman. Serving as a prequel to 2014's Annabelle, it is the fourth installment in The Conjuring Universe franchise and explicitly chronicles the origin story of the possessed Annabelle doll.
