Dark Country is a 2009 American mystery thriller film.
It follows a couple en route from Las Vegas who are forced to deal with a body in the desert, making their honeymoon one hellish ride. It is set in the Nevada desert and has a neo-noir style.
Upon its release, the film received mixed reviews, though many reviewers praised the acting and directing style. It was praised for its visuals and noir atmosphere, but criticized for its nonsensical twist ending and slow pacing.
The film was released on DVD in North America in October 2009. A Blu-ray 3D edition was released in France in April 2011. A graphic novel adaptation was released in May 2012.
