House of the Disappeared is a 2017 South Korean psychological horror film directed by Lim Dae-woong and written by Jang Jae-hyun.
It is a remake of the Venezuelan film The House at the End of Time.
The film follows Mi-hee, who was falsely arrested for murdering her husband and imprisoned for 25 years. Upon her release, she returns to the house where the incident occurred to solve the mystery surrounding her husband's death and son's disappearance.
Priest Choi is the only person who trusts Mi-hee and helps her uncover the truth. The film also stars Jo Jae-yoon as Chul-joong, Mi-hee's husband.
The film was theatrically released in South Korea on April 5, 2017. It received generally positive reviews, with praise for its compelling story, strong performances, and effective use of supernatural elements to create a nerve-jangling haunted house tale. The film won several awards.
